Stockholm, II

Last night was a blast. We went to a club in Slussen called Debaser, named after my favorite Pixies song. Saw a band called “Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin”, who were great. All of the drinks on the menu were named after Pixies songs as well. The “Crackity Jones” is spelled, so that Swedish people can pronounce it, “Crackity Jöns”. Got up late today. It was rainy- who’d have thought?

Went to the Tate modern- it’s still very cool. Walked around Southwark a little after and before that, then went down to see my old boss, Andrea.

Had a lovely meal down at Iguana. Jamaican jerk pork and rice and such. Excellent.

Back to Kent tomorrow, then off to Sweden!

Had a proper wicked pub night with all the Tunbridge Wells lot. Again, like we never left. I much prefer talking with good friends who make me laugh until I’m crying until 3AM than stepping in tourist traps and hemorrhaging money.

London, I

Hilary and I are back in London for a 2-week vacation. It’s strange being back here. I feel like I never left, but at the same time I feel like I am in some kind of parallel universe. I think it’s probably coming here from New York that makes London seem almost like the 6th borough that floated away years ago or something.
